Surat web designer held for forex fraud, duped city doctor of 2 crore

On Saturday, the Central Crime Station (CCS) apprehended a web designer named Aamir Arif Aghadi from Surat, Gujarat. He is accused of deceiving a doctor from the city by enticing him into forex trading and defrauding him of 2 crore.

According to CCS officials, Aamir, who is 23 years old, and his associates employ various tactics to entrap unsuspecting individuals by tempting them to invest in forex trading. They establish accounts and grant prospective investors access to a specialized software. By manipulating this software, Aamir and his accomplices tricked the victim, P Dinesh of Trimulgherry, into believing that he possessed an incorrect balance.
Initially, Aamir paid Dinesh profits of up to 25%. Consequently, Dinesh was under the impression that Aamir and his associates were bona fide businessmen and that the progress of his investments could be monitored on a daily basis. Consequently, Dinesh invested up to 2 crore.

“During interactions with their victims, Aamir and his associates would assume false identities. In addition, they would prompt the victims to make payments through illicit methods such as hawala, using justifications such as tax avoidance. Nonetheless, once the funds were acquired, they would begin to evade the victims,” stated the police in a press release. On Saturday, Aamir was detained in Surat and subsequently transported to Hyderabad on a prison transit warrant.
